The thought: we’re in the final stretch of events before the summer lull, with few media companies heading to Cannes next week. Those who are attending, are leaning into multiple sponsors for a larger splash, similar to the Davos playbook from January.

One more note on the summit event trend that we are noticing is that while WaPo isn’t popping up with many smaller scale events, they have a number of larger scale summits coming this fall, signaling the company’s new event strategy.
