The Media Tracker: Newsletter Awareness
As we near the new administration’s first 100 days, non-profit and associations are pushing out their messaging to get in front of Washington decision makers.
The Media Tracker
This week we're diving into association’s pushing awareness through the newsletter lens.
What's 🔥 Right Now
Newsletter Association Push
American Society of Civil Engineers is sponsoring Politico’s Weekly Transportation, calling to invest more in infrastructure to improve America’s C rating.
The Association of American Universities is sponsoring Politico’s Weekly Education, driving awareness towards America’s leading research universities that help to improve local farmers.
American Bankers Association is sponsoring Politico’s Morning Money, driving to a recording of their event this week with US Treasury, House Budget Chair and more, where they covered the U.S. economy.
National Pork Producers Council is sponsoring Politico’s Weekly Agriculture, calling on Congress to pass a farm bill that fixed California Prop 12 to save family farms and keep pork prices down.
The Campaign for Sustainable Rx Pricing is sponsoring Politico’s Inside Congress, driving awareness to how Big Pharma is costing U.S. taxpayers billions through their DTC advertising efforts.
Better Medicare Alliance is sponsoring Axios Vitals, calling for no further cuts and more support of Medicare Advantage.
American Energy Action is sponsoring Axios Generate, calling on Congress to support America’s shipyards as America’s energy industry is generating jobs across the supply chain.
The thought: as we near the new administration’s first 100 days, we’re seeing the expected uptick in non-profit and association efforts to get their messaging in front of Washington decision makers. While some lean into urgent messaging, such as AAU or National Pork Producers Council, highlighting the impact cost-cutting could have for farmers, others drive negative awareness towards Big Pharma. All in all, newsletters remain the strongest medium to get short burst, urgent messaging across to the right audience without reaching the high cost of a HPTO buy.
