The thought: May is proving to be a big month in the events space, netting out with the month of March for the most events planned. The trend of summits is not slowing down either, even with upcoming events in June, and summer on the horizon. In past years, we see things slow down towards the end of Q2 into Q3, but this year, there’s less indication of this as more companies see the value in taking big swings within the event space.
One smaller, but notable trend, is Middle Eastern companies are sponsoring more and more events (and newsletters). What feels like Semafor opening the doors for others with their Gulf coverage, is proving to be a strong new market for others like Bloomberg to WSJ.
